I am a journalist, editor, TV presenter and author based in London. I specialise in food, drink, travel, lifestyle and human interest stories.

My work has been published in the Financial Times, Evening Standard, Guardian, Sunday Times, Times, Sunday Telegraph, Observer, Olive, Glamour, Red, Grazia and Psychologies in the UK, as well as the Globe and Mail and The Australian.

 

I have two cookbooks coming out in 2018 - the first will be Leon: Happy One Pot Cooking, and the second is yet to be announced but will come out in December. I published two cookbooks last year, Lisbon: recipes from the heart of Portugal and Leon: Happy Soups, which are both available worldwide and in translation.

 

My previous cookbooks were Postcards from Greece: recipes from across the Greek seas, and Istanbul: recipes from the heart of Turkey.

 

I am one of the food and drinks experts on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch TV programme, with Tim Lovejoy and Simon Rimmer.

 

I have been freelance for nine years and during that time have held various hugely enjoyable roles, including recipe columnist for Healthy Magazine, restaurant columnist for the Evening Standard's ES magazine and breakfast recipe columnist for Guardian Weekend magazine. For five years I was editor of Soho House's two quarterly magazines, Cookhouse, about food, and House Tonic, about drink, distributed in the UK, Germany, America, Canada, South Africa and Australia.

 

I have hosted events and developed bespoke content, recipes and drinks for brands such Sheraton Hotels, DeLonghi, Russell Hobbs, PG Tips, Diageo and Brancott Estate wines, and made videos for companies including Waitrose and fair trade wine drink, Keep Light and Be Fair.
